Joe Mihalic's No More Harvard Debt is a good example. To summarize, Joe undertook the tumultuous task of paying off his students loans in less than a year. He allowed his audience to follow his journey toward financial freedom while leaving plenty of "golden nuggets of information" along the way. Ultimately, he helped his audience by helping himself.
That is what i plan to do. I want to ripen from the person i am today, to the person i want to become. Hopefully documenting my adventure will help others out as well.
The areas of my life i'd wish to focus on are:
- Mind
- Body
- Soul
- Personal Finance
- Karma
Expanding on the above topics...
Mind - to never stop learning and keep the mind sharp. There's always something new to learn or to teach to somebody else.
Body - to have a healthy, athletic, physique and a respectable level of fitness.
Soul - to explore the I.
Personal Finance - to erase "bad debt" and to use money as an extension of the self.
Karma - to keep it positive. Whether or not karma is real, it's a good practice either way. The "treat others as you'd like to be treated" thing.
The methods to the above madness...
Mind - reading, writing, teaching, watching educational programs.
Body - eating cleanly, juicing, stretching, lifting weights, riding my bike.
Soul - meditating, reflecting, maintaining awareness, journaling.
Personal Finance - spending consciously, shopping locally and sustainably, using cash.
Karma - volunteering and RAOKs
I plan to arrange "21 Day Challenges" around the various methods in hopes of bettering my chances. It's been said that it takes around 21 days to effectively implement a new habit or break an old one.
